Review from 'MUSICIAN' June 2002 (The journal of the Musicians’ Union)
By Lee Gibson

John Brennan’s debut CD gives us the "Full Monty" with a big band that is obviously having a ball. If there was any doubt that British musicians are some of the best in the world have a listen to the playing on this CD with the added bonus of some great original arrangements, commissioned from Barrie Forgie, Colin Skinner, Bryan Pendleton and Martin Williams.

The band is truly an all-star line up and includes the like of Tony Fisher, Mark Nightingale, Andy Wood, Dave Green and Andy Vinter -- every chair a winner. John has chosen a really nice selection of standards Witchcraft and The Girl from Ipanema to the more unusual The Best is Yet to Come and Sunday in New York, and John more than holds his own among this illustrious musical company.

LEE GIBSON is a nationally and internationally acclaimed jazz singer who has delighted critics and fans alike with her wonderful voice.
